Is there a way to encode multiple videos for different dvd's at once?

I want to clear up some hard drive space and burn some videos onto DVD. However, it takes about an hour per video, I can only burn one at a time, and 95% of the time it spends burning, it is just converting it to the correct format. Is there a way I can encode multiple videos at once, perhaps overnight, so that burning each movie onto DVD will take no more than 5 minutes because it doesn't need to convert anything? Basically my husband and I have been TTC for 3 years, but never went to the Dr. I have never ever had a normal period, so I knew that was the problem. But actually right now it has been about 50-60 degrees which is not bad alot of years it starts snowing around halloween, which it did for a few days but were back to warmer weather. Ears pierced 4 mo ago and not a single sign of healing...?

I got my ears pierced a little over 4 months ago and they just won't heal. Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks and then it started... some swelling, a little bit of pain when moving the earrings around in the piercing and something resembling pus was oozing out. Death and Dying?

Have any of you ever watched a loved one die from a terminal illness? I just watched my father die a week and a half ago, and although sad and painful, it was also very spiritually uplifting. We watched him day and night for a week. It is hard to tell if it was just the pain medication causing him to hallucinate, or if he was really hearing and seeing those on the other side. He spoke to his mother, father and sister several times, all of whom have ped, and, at one point he said "They are choosing for the light." I hope there is something else for us on the other side, and that dying is not the end. Anyone care to share?

Well, about a week or two ago, one of my cats died (i have 2 and their both outdoor animals so she peacefully ped away in her sleep on my open porch). Then a couple days after she died, i woke up to a loud meowing noise. So i walked outside to find a very small black and white kitten at my doorstep. So i feed him and took care of his then went off to school, and when i came back he was still there and got along perfectly with my other cat and dogs/animals. And this is also kinda weird, the new kitten acts the same as the one who ped away, and sleeps in the same place and all. Also, i live on a ranch so their wasn't many people around and quite strange for her to show up randomly out of no where. So i called everyone around and no one owns her. Well anyways, my mom is a pet sitter and one of her clients noticed the cat and commented on how a kitten showed up at her door when one of her cats died too. Living with people is the worst?

Long story short, My brother has helped me get a job and all after the big move from OK. No fault of the dealer due to the hinge replacement, don't even have to raise the vehicle to replace the recalled rear gl hinges. It may be input or output speed sensors on the transmission causing the blinking light, that is the usual cause on the Explorer for the flashing OD light. Nothing the dealer repaired on the back gl would have caused the light, just a coincidence. A roadtest with the diagnostic tool attached will tell which trans speed sensor is not reading.

So I'm looking at the school website thing for my aid. I qualified for the Pell Grant, Direct Subsidized Loan, and the Unsubsidized Loan this year. There are 2 columns. One is Dispersible Amount, one is the Award amount. Under the award amount, it says my award total for 2011-2012 is $16,050, which means that in addition to the Pell Grant, I got both loans. However, under Dispersible Amount, it says my total is $5,500, which that amount includes only the Pell Grant. My school does the thing where they disperse the loans each semester in different parts, and I understand that, this will be my fifth & sixth semester. Dispersible means "to distribute", right? So, did they award me $16,050 but decided to only give me the $5,500 for some reason? I'm going to be full time again this next year, and my GPA is 3.5, and I've gotten a subsidized loan every semester I've been in school so far, so it's not like I've done something wrong or I've went bad on the loans or anything. Are there any energystar qualified baseboard heaters?

I had a new furnace put in 4 years ago and duct work into areas of the house that didn't have ANY. We bought the house from family, it was our grandpa's house and he had a really old furnace that he never used and when we bought the place and turned it on, it was leaking gas.We had to buy a new one and realized that he never had duct work put in because he always used a wood burning stove. That too was old and rusted, we had it removed. Our first winter we had an enormous gas bill because our house is on a slab, the house frame is cinder-block, and all of the duct work we had put in had to be run through the attic and be put in through the ceiling otherwise we would had to have the walls opened up to have heat registers near the floor. (I hope you understand what I'm saying). Anyways, we bought a wood-burner so that we would not have to run the furnace constantly. For the amount of money we paid for one cord of wood a month, we should have just run the furnace. I'm now looking into baseboard heating. Are there any brands that anyone can recommend? Again, I'm surrounded by concrete, so the floor is always cold. Any suggestions please.

Why is my 1997 silverado Z71 leaking transmission fluid while pulling and not under normal driving?

The transmission in my truck is leaking fluid. It only does it when pulling something. I was pulling a 2 wheel dolly with small nissan pickup on it. Before I start pulling the truck, the transmission was fine no leaks at all. I drove it about 90 miles to get the truck without any problems. It only started leaking when i start pulling the truck. I had to go up and down alot of hills but they were not that tall. But the trans was changing out alot. The person that I bought the truck from told me that I need to put it in 4wd when pulling that will slow it down i thought. I have to put a quart of trans fluid in it when i got home. The next morning it drove fine and shift out right and without any leaks. Why is it leaking while pulling something and not driving regular? Please help...

Am I really being too needy?

I have been married for over 15 years now, and have followed my husband wherever he has needed to go for his career. My husband works very hard. He is gone 5 days/nights out of the week most weeks. When my husband is home, he is still working hard, along with trying to get his 'to-do' list done in the short amount of time that he is home. I am a stay-at-home mom. I am home everyday taking care of our kids. I appreciate the fact that he works so hard to provide for us (I even feel guilty that I am not contributing to our income), but when he is home, it is like he isn't even there. He answers his e-mails at the dinner table, will talk to his coworkers anytime they need him, and will even check his e-mail at midnight if his phone chimes that one came in. He says that if doesn't answer it right then and there, that there it will just be more work for him tomorrow. Within the last couple of months, his work schedule has become worse and he is gone even more. I recently broke down emotionally and told him how I felt like I was being ignored (and our kids were as well). He told me that he was not going to feel guilty for doing his job, and that I am just being needy. Am I really being needy or am I justified in feeling this way?

Stop talking about ending your life simply because a part of you needs to come back online. If you get a flat tire in your car or bike do you throw out the bike? Do you send it to the crusher because it needs to be fixed? Who knows it might just be an imbalance caused by hormonal changes that are normal for someone your age. Take is easy and figure out how you can see someone to talk to so you can find out what is going on and what course of action would be best for you going forward. When you get things sorted out you will have much more appreciation for Life and you will grow in unexpected ways. Don't p that stuff up. You have a chance to be better than ever. Monkey man seems to know how this system works. Okkaayy, i used to straighten my hair everyday with a pretty good straightener (Infiniti. $100), i used all kinds of conditioning products and my hair did not appear or seem any weaker or damaged at all. Then i got a perm (what was i thinking?) and yeah i did get some damaged hair along my front and back hairlines. After i got the perm, i did straighten my hair like 2x, but i stopped because i didn't want to damage it. It's been over 4 months since i got the perm and i really miss my straight hair, although some days i would like to wear it curly just to save time. Can my roommate really not pay me?

So I recently let a young girl and her baby live with us. I felt bad that she was practically homeless with a daughter around the same age as mine. I let her move in free for 2 weeks. Why do cpu sockets change so frequently compaired to the other parts on a computer?

I just feel like the manufacturers could make better use of the existing technology. Instead of adding more cores for multitasking why don't they just put more cache and actually make the cpus faster in raw speed. I can't play games and check my email at the same time so why are they taking a perfictly good size cpu socket and making it obsolete?

Who should i believe? my boyfriend or his ex girlfriend?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 4 months now, about 1 month of dating his ex got in our lifes spreading rumars around saying that he is cheating on me with her, but i didnt know who to believe, so i took a chance and i believed my boyfriend, he told me that he was tired of her and that he couldnt stand her trying to miss his life up again, when they were dating she made his life so miserable, breaking up with him then him crawling back, she treated him like a puppy on a leash that would do every comand for her 4 three years this went on, but then the last time she broke up with him and he tried to get her back and then he meet me and didnt want her anymore. and she got mad i guess and now i dont know what to do, on sunday i got some letters saying that he didnt want to talk to her anymore letters he gave her, and one letter she gave him back said that she just wantted him to leave her alone. and as far as i know he had been leaving her alone she is the one that comes up to him and screams at him saying that she cant believe that he is dating me and everything. I am a good 10 handicap golfer but why at impact is my irons rising and not descending through the ball?

i had this same problem. what was wrong with me was i was looking to see where the ball was going to early (pretty much raising my head), and that lead to my shoulders raising up, which lead to not staying down on the ball which leads to bad shots. so just keep your head down and stay down on the ball. and like a previous answerer said, your ball could be to far forward in your stance, it needs to be in the middle but im sure you know that. hope this helps

Should I leave a note for my girlfriend?

We're in college and my girlfriend and I have been together for about a week. She works a lot and is very busy and I haven't seen her in a couple of days. She's working today but hopefully I'll see her tonight. I was thinking that I would buy her a couple of pretty flowers and write a short note for when she gets off work. I thought I would just say how I know she's been busy/stressed and wanted to cheer her up and that I was thinking of her. Then how I'm glad that we decided to be together and how lucky I feel to be with someone as beautiful and sweet as her. Something like that. Does that sound OK? or is it too much this early in the relationship. I want to do something to show her I care, but I don't want to creep her out or anything. Should I leave it on her doorstep? If you are planing to prepare them yourself then good luck. I would consult a caterer or two just to get some ideas on how much you need. Shop around and don't pick the caterer right away. When you get some ideas, then you can decide if you want to DIY. I like the idea of serving things on trays. Maybe ham spread sandwiches (cut into fourths). Mini bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. I would probably give the choice of 4 different appetizers. Depending on the size of the trays and food placed on it, will determine how many trays you will need. If you figure that you may need a total of 600 divided by 4 (different) will equal 150 of each of the appetizers. Then figure out how much will fit on each tray and go from there. When slow cooking a turkey do I cover the bird or not?

I'm tired of dried out turkey on Thanksgiving. I am going to slow cook the bird for 20 hours at 185 degrees and use 2 temp probes to prove the meat is 185 degrees. Many so called chefs advise against this since they are part of the commercial cooking industry. But me being an engineer I know turkey juices boil at 212 and it takes 977 btu's to boil off a pound of water therefore the real way to make a turkey juicy without replacing the natural juice with saltwater brine is to slow cook the bird. My real question is do you slow cook a turkey with the cover on the whole time or remove it at some point?

okay I received a letter in the mail from Direct Loans for my college. The letter says that the net loan amount will be disbursed to me. What does that mean? And it has to different amounts. One section says "Direct Subsidized Loan" and its says net disbursement amount $2000. The other section says "Direct Unsubsidized Loan" and it says net disbursement amount $4000. What does this mean? What types of food can someone with chronic diarrhea eat?

I have chronic diarrhea which has gotten worse since my gall bladder was removed in 2004. Two years ago, I was put on Immodium AD twice a day which helps some. But it seems like no matter what I eat, my system gets upset and the whole thing starts again. The dr who diagnosed me didn't have any dietary suggestions. I am sick and tired of being a prisoner of this condition.

I found that HP 3in1 printers are very good. I had mine for 4 1/2 yrs. and it just went out. Most printers have a lifetime of 2-3 years. I now have a Canon, and its wonderful. Its just that it runs out of ink fast. Faster than the HP 3in1. Then walgreen don't even refill Canons ink like they do for HP.

I have buick lesabre 93,has high idle that comes and goes, mech connected handheld computer, it said it was..

like i was saying the diagnostic computer said it was the oxygen sensor, i replaced it right away but still the same problem. when i start the car it seems like idle is extremely high, after i pull out and drive for a mile or so and stop at light i turn off car and turn back on its calmer but still not all the way calm, i do that a couple of times and everytime i do it it seems to calm down a lil more. sometime i give it a real good revvv and it calms down all the way! and ill drive around for awhile and it acts perfectly quiet and smooth, but once i park and turn off car when i turn back on like 10 min later the idle is high again, not so severe like when in the morning but still high. by the way when i first turn on car it will speed up to 40 mph on its own! until i turn off then back on. does anybody have any ideas? tired of not knowing whats wrong with this car. please help!!! thanks for your patience with this long note!!!
