R&P: Who do you think is the most universally loved musician?

Stevie Ray Vaughan may not be the "most universally loved musician" (Texas excepted), but I think he would be at least be on the list. The only thing I've ever heard negative about him is that he "copied" Hendrix, but believe me, all musicians start off copying someone they admire.
