Ears pierced 4 mo ago and not a single sign of healing...?

I got my ears pierced a little over 4 months ago and they just won't heal. Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks and then it started... some swelling, a little bit of pain when moving the earrings around in the piercing and something resembling pus was oozing out. I did the salt soaks, I did chamomile soaks (it has anti-inflammatory properties), I stayed away from peroxides and all that stuff, heck, I even gave up sleeping on either side for a while. About a month ago I switched out the starter pair. My new earrings are 14K gold studs. At first it seemed like my ears were getting better, but now there's quite a lot of whitish-yellow pus-like stuff coming out. There's no redness or any real swelling and they don't exactly hurt either and I've never experienced any adverse reactions to other gold jewelry. So what is this?! Do I need to see a doctor or switch to a different metal or care regimen or what? It has me quite worried already...
