I fell in a store parking lot due to ice from snow melt. I am in a lot of pain, who is responsible?

I slipped and grabbed my husband arm, immediately felt a pull in upper thigh and lower back right above cheek curve.I felt like a fool and didn't want to say anything but it slowly got tighter as I shopped. I told the manager (who I am friendly with) and he appoligized, I went home took pain pills etc. This morning my lower pain is so pain full and tight. I need to go to the doctor, but who is responsible for the bill? Should he have plowed his lot? or salted I was walking very carefully and had aggressive tread tennis shoes on. I don't know what to think.
