Symbolism in "The One Furrow" Poem?

Don't forget your roots or where you came from is what I got out of it... or always remember where you came from. You can tell this when he explains the cattle who are taught to go back in their cages.. his cage happened to be his normal way of life. oh wait you could take it as make your life worth it. He started out on the farm went out into the world came back and died at the farm.. so he was a part of the farm. furrow is a trench.. one furrow where he would be buried..
