You are a true ideological independent, but you probably have to declare a party to vote in primary elections, unless you live in Wisconsin or New Hampshire (I think. I know Wisconsin has "open" primaries. Only one other state has "open" primaries. I think it's New Hampshire) ALL Republican primaries are technically "closed". You have to be a declared Republican to vote for Republicans in a primary election. I think that's an oxymoron. That's why they are usually hypocrites.
