How do I choose what I want to write about?

I like to write and recently I've toyed around with the idea of writing a novel. I've brainstormed and have found I have so many ideas I'd like to do. I've mapped out a mystery story, a thriller, and also a children's book, however I am not sure which to choose. Any help or suggestions?
