I cant decide beteen english or western riding, please help!?

i thought i always wanted to do english but now im having a hard time deciding. If i do english and start jumping i can tryout for the jumping team at a&m but then if i do western and start barrel racing i may have a chance of getting a horse and being able to do high school rodeos and going to tarelton. any suggestions?
