Will the USA's overreaction to the events 9/11/01 will be far deadlier than 9/11/01 was?

I do not believe there was an over reaction of any sort to 9/11. I separate Iraq from 9/11. I will not defend the war in Iraq. The Iraq war was handled very poorly.
