Any ideas on how to tell my bf that i might be pregnant?

I am afraid that I might be pregnant. I am a few weeks late on my period but I wont know for sure until tomorrow when i can get a pregnancy test.I need to talk to my boyfriend about it but I definately dont want to tell him over a text or an email but im kind of nervous to tell him over the phone too. i feel like i should do it in person but i wont be back home untill midway through january. I highly doubt hes the type of person to run away or leave me or even hate me or anything like that but I'm just scared and i dont know how to tell him. Any ideas?
