Where is there a nice hotel to stay at in either of theses places?

Me and some friends are getting together for a reunion and we are thinking about different places to stay, so its either Huntington Beach, Palm Springs, Dana Point. We would like a location that we can walk around and do some shopping or even just walk to dinner. This will take place in at the end of June. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
